Summary
 

Kit is designed for school administrators who must develop a special program for students of limited English proficiency. Describes eight bilingual program designs for preschool through senior high school and one nonbilingual program model to use as a temporary program.

 

Flowcharts direct administrators to the program appropriate to their situation by asking questions concerning demographic characteristics of their school, and then refers them to specific programs. Each program description includes

  • program facilities
  • instruction

  • advantages and disadvantages of the program, and
  • a sample weekly teacher schedule.
