What is a curriculum?

A curriculum is a set of courses or a plan for a particular area of study.

A curriculum includes more than just courses of study. It includes the following:

• A statement of underlying philosophy or learning theory
• Assumptions
• Goals
• Objectives
• Strategies
• Instructional materials
• Time frame
• Accountability
