SIL responds to false accusations
Is it true that SIL supports removing “Son of God” and “God the Father” in Scripture translations?
No—SIL maintains its historic position that Scripture translations must promote the understanding of the term, “Son of God,” that includes Jesus' relationship as Son with God the Father. SIL affirms the eternal deity of Jesus Christ and requires that it be preserved in all translations.
Training institute begins second session of linguistics courses in Colombia
Students and instructors recently returned for the second session of courses in an SIL-sponsored linguistics training program known as CLAVE, Curso de Lingüística Aplicada para Vernáculo-hablantes (Applied Linguistics Course for Speakers of Minority Languages), held this year in Colombia.
