Carolyn P. Miller reelected SIL President
DALLAS, TEXAS (May 16, 2005) During the triennial SIL Conference held in Thailand, the current president of SIL International, Carolyn Miller, was reelected for a third consecutive three-year term.
Before Miller’s reelection, she had served on the SIL Board for ten years. She
and her husband, John, have worked with SIL for over 42 years and have lived
in several Southeast Asian countries, including Viet Nam, Malaysia, Thailand,
and the Philippines. The Millers are currently involved in language development
work in Southeast Asia.
President Miller’s roles within SIL have involved language project work, consulting, and teaching at Mahidol University. She has held positions in administration both at the SIL entity and corporate levels.
